Epic Origins Conversion & Combination Guides

Call to Adventure: Epic Origins is a standalone game of high fantasy hero-building and storytelling. But it’s also an expansion that’s compatible with every other Call to Adventure release, and it can be used as a character creation tool for tabletop RPGs! This page will contain conversion and combination resources for Epic Origins.

Sample Character Conversion Sheet

One of the original inspirations for Call to Adventure was the joy of creating new characters for tabletop RPGs. The game’s underlying math was always intended to make it easy to export your “story” tableau as a character, and that functionality has been further enhanced in Epic Origins. You can also download a character sheet and a PDF of bonus 5e content including Backgrounds and Overlays! (For a printer-friendly version of the Conversion Guide, click here)

entirely compatible

Call to Adventure core game, Call to Adventure: Epic Origins, and Call to Adventure: The Stormlight Archive

Every Call to Adventure set is cross-compatible, and Epic Origins has been designed to be 100% compatible with the original game. To combine sets, simply remove the Adversary Challenges and Adversary Feats from the original Call to Adventure, then shuffle together all other decks.
